Drop-In Dance Class

Blackbird arts in partnership with ACT-GT (formerly VSA arts) is offering a drop-in dance class for adults of all abilities starting Thursday September 27, 7:00-8:30PM. This drop-in dance social will feature a half hour of dance instruction led by certified instructors, followed by open dance time and social hour for all.  Light refreshments will be included.  Registration is appreciated by calling 421-8085.  Cost is a $5.00 suggested donation. This year’s Festival instructors included: Marcia Burrell (visual artist), Kat Brown (movement), Phil Wilson (pottery), Deni-Don Hunting (drama), Connie Brown and Bonnie Deigh (puppet making) and Dave Warne (percussion). Their combined talents guided the youngsters in musical instrument exploration, dance and movement exercises, and visual art projects. Sponsors of the event included: The Dennos Museum Center and its docents, Swingshift and the Stars Charity Dance-Off friends and supporters and the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District.
