The Ability Exhibit

We are thrilled to be partners in bringing The Ability Exhibit to Traverse City. The exhibit will be at the Dennos Museum Center Oct. 18-20. Big thanks to The Dennos Museum Center, Northwestern Michigan College Disability Support Services and Disability Network for helping with this exhibit. This traveling exhibit, developed by grad students at Saint Louis University, features 10 interactive stations designed to build awareness of people with disabilities and the disability movement. There's also specialized training designed to educate teachers, staff and students on how they can be allies for disability inclusion.   As part of ACT-GT's sponsorship of this important exhibit, we'll be hosting a FREE Funday Sunday at the Dennos Oct. 18, 1-4 p.m. You can tour The Ability Exhibit, the museum's Discovery Gallery and any of the other exhibits absolutely free. Paint a truck at the Cherry Festival!

Get your creativity on! We have a truck to paint! Isn't it beautiful? What? You don't think so? Wait until you see the finished product! We'll be painting this creature at Special Kids Day at the National Cherry Festival Wednesday, July 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Open Space and we're counting on you to help! Remember this beauty? You can see it on the highways and byways of Michigan, working hard for Team Elmer's. And speaking of Team Elmer's ... THANK YOU SO MUCH!
