Caroline Simaz —Board Co-Chair, Traverse City, MI
Cherryland Electric Cooperative
Caroline is employed at Cherryland Electric Cooperative as a GIS Technician. She has been on the Arts for All board for two years.
Ellie Vratanina – Board Co-Chair, Traverse City, MI
Real Estate One
Ellie has been a realtor with Real Estate One in Traverse City, MI for the past 7 years and has been an Arts for All Board Member for two years. She also serves on the Real Estate One Charitable Foundation Executive Board of Directors for Northern MI.
Elizabeth Clarke—Board Secretary, Traverse City, MI.
West Shore Bank
Liz is a branch manager with West Shore Bank and sits on the Finance and Governance committee for Arts for All. She has been on the board for five years.
Annie Kerr – Board Treasurer, Traverse City, MI
Annie Kerr, CPA, is a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst at Midmark RTLS Solutions and is responsible for financial analysis and leading the accounting team. Previously, Annie served in assurance roles with Price Waterhouse Coopers and Dennis, Gartland and Niergarth CPA.
Annie has been the Financial Representative of Special Olympics Michigan – Area 2 since September 2017 and formerly served on the Polar Plunge Committee for Special Olympics Michigan – Area 2 for the 2018 plunge. From January 2016 to December 2018, Annie served on the Volunteer Committee of FUSE, Traverse City’s young professional focused program.
Annie received both her undergraduate and graduate degree in accounting from Wayne State University. Annie resides in Cedar, Michigan with her husband, Rich, and two dogs, Charlie and Daisy. She enjoys exploring all her home state has to offer, as well as traveling to new places.
Nick Edson —Board Member, Traverse City, MI
Cherryland Electric Cooperative (retired)
Nick was an editor of the Traverse City Record-Eagle for 25 years and editor of Country Lines Magazine for 15 years. He has been on the A4A board for four years. Nick has served a number of local boards: the YMCA board for nine years, with two as board chair; NMC Scholarship Committee board for six years, with three as board chair; TC Rotary Club board for two years; Communities In Schools board three years (and running), taking over as board chair this fall.
Colleen Berger – Board Member, Traverse City, MI
Empireblu Vintage Furnishings
Colleen is a senior vendor and contributor at Empireblu Vintage Furnishings in Traverse City.
Colleen also works in Real Estate marketing for Real Support, Inc. She has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technical University. Colleen is new to Traverse City and met the Arts for All community almost immediately upon arriving in T.C. She has a special
needs daughter who enjoys all that A4A has to offer. Colleen is excited about joining the board and the team to further the benefits that Arts for All is doing throughout the Grand Traverse
Renée Herman – Board Member, Traverse City, MI
Vocal Instructor & Music Program Developer
Renée Herman has a Bachelors in Music from Berklee College of Music and a Masters in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. She currently runs a private vocal studio and creates tailored music programming for organizations and businesses to help people to discover and develop their unique voice. Renée is the proud younger sister of Nikki Herman, an avid A4A attendee, and has worked in non-profit development and management for over 15 years.
Sue Cronover – Board Member, Traverse City
Resource Development Manager, Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region
Sue has 15 years’ experience in program management, fund development, and volunteer management. She has been blessed to work for some well-respected non-profits in our community: Interlochen Center for the Arts, Traverse Health Clinic, and Goodwill Northern Michigan. Sue is excited about joining the Board to help increase awareness of Arts for All programming in our community, cultivate more community partnerships, and build a strong organization to serve people of all abilities for years to come.
Mike Libby- Board Member, Traverse City
Special Education Teacher, TBAISD
Mike is the newest member of the Arts 4 All board. He has a BFA in Art/Photography from Wayne State University, M.Ed. and K-12 Art Ed. Certification from Loyola University and a CI special education endorsement from Ferris State University. For over 20 years he taught art/photography and theatre in the US and UK and was the Very Special Arts Festival coordinator for 2 years while living and teaching in Fairbanks, Alaska. He has been working as a special education teacher with TBAISD since 2011 and has been an Arts 4 All volunteer since 2016. Mike is also a member of the Good On Paper improv troupe and the Society of Traverse Region Ukulele Musicians (STRUM) in Traverse City.
Chris Wendel – Board Member, Traverse City
Business Advisor, Northern Initiatives
Chris Wendel works for Northern Initiatives, a community development financial institution (CDFI) that provides financing and technical assistance to small businesses throughout Michigan. He graduated from University of Colorado, before settling in northern Michigan in 1988. Chris resides in Traverse City where he enjoys running, swimming and walking the family dog Pancake (pictured left).
