Bags for Change at Lucky’s

Great news! Arts for All of Northern Michigan is one of five finalists in the Lucky's Bags for Change challenge. But we have to step up — voting is April 30-May 7 on the Lucky's Market Facebook page. They'll decide, based on the number of votes, if Arts for All moves into the final 3, which means we can set up a table in the store and spread the word about Arts for ALL Abilities, plus receive 10 cents from every reusable bag donor. Goalball March 11

We're thrilled to be a partner with Disability Networks on a Goalball competition in Leland Saturday, March 11. Click on the flier to the left for all the information. Don't know what Goalball is? Watch this video from the Rio Paralympics Games. Goal ball is a team sport designed for visually impaired and blind athletes. It was started after World War II to assist in the rehabilitation of visually impaired veterans. The sports is a combination of soccer, hockey and rugby — and very exciting. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. at the Leland Public School, 200 Grand Ave. There will be inclusive sports and recreative vendor exhibits. The game starts at 11:30 a.m. and players will hold a Q&A session afterwards. Then, at 12:15 p.m., join us for a Goalball Experience with the Community. See you there!...

Our Annual Arts for All Festival is scheduled for Thursday, May 4, at the Dennos Museum Center. In the morning there will be art workshops for hundreds of children and young adults with disabilities experiencing and learning through the arts. The Festival will be followed by the Arts for All Celebration, an evening performance showcase for performers with disabilities and local professional entertainers. The evening will include a silent auction and afterglow reception — and it’s all open to the public. Please join us Thursday, May 4 at the Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City. Additional information will be forthcoming, both here on our website and on Facebook. The event marks our 18th annual Festival for northern Michigan’s largest nonprofit arts organization providing adaptive art and cultural opportunities for people all abilities.  Donations will help fund adaptive multi-art instruction in special education classrooms, hands-on learning special events, traveling art show, accessibility assistance and the national acclaimed Kids on the Block puppet program. ...
